Police Officer Fired as a Result of Using a Racial Slur on Camera

Last month, Cincinnati police officer Rose Valentino was removed from the force after the April incident in which her body camera captured her using a racial slur. It was recommended that she be put on a 56-hour suspension, but Police Chief Theetge rejected this recommendation.
