DOJ Releases New Policy in Regard to the Prosecuting of Corporate Misconduct

On Tuesday, January 17th, the Department of Justice released a new policy to combat and uncover white-collar crimes. The policy allows for the potential of lighter sentencing or a complete declination to prosecute if companies self-report any corporate misconducts that may arise. This gives companies a great incentive to self-report any corporate wrongdoings they know about.
