The accessibility of guns has increased over time and has become more obtainable. Â Gun violence has always been prominent, however, these past two years has spiked in rates. “Is it too easy for the irresponsible to obtain a gun?”

Am I the only person who finds this a long overdue move by the Justice Department? Sadly, the policy does not apply to immigration enforcement agencies, which are overseen by the Department of Homeland Security, nor does it apply to state and local law enforcement.
Yes, celebrate a long overdue policy but not for too long because there is so much more work to be done!
Why is this? Do people not realize the impact on women?

Are we seriously here? There are so many issues in the world right now and one that immediately comes to mind is poverty. I certainly hope those who read this story are not only outraged by the felony charge and $50k cash bond but are also concerned with the actions of the various Criminal Justice entities. From arrest, to bond, to detaining, and to court/legal involvement, did anyone read or consider the actual facts of the incident before the Criminal Justice ball began to roll out of control?  Â

Has anyone talked about training for police officers? What type of training should be required and for why?
Instead of the only answer being to “defund” them, perhaps a look at what to do in the current situation? In the end, everyone wants to be safe. The use of guns for any reason should be the last result! Is this a choice when training only presents one way to use it?
